I am HUGE into craft. Huge.
My start in the graphic design industry came with a job at an invitations and stationery store back in 2009. Since then, I've had the pleasure of designing invitations for many of my old friends, and plenty of new friends too!
Some logos I've created for some cool people.
I love being able to help people communicate what it is that they have, to people who want to have it. Making websites pretty is something that I can help you with! Here are some that I've done recently.
I have had the wonderful opportunity to create some visual (and very crafty) spaces to help brands promote their products, and bring customers into their stores. Here are just a few.
At the beginning of 2014, I went on the New Beginnings tour around Australia with Dailylike to promote the delicious brand. We ran craft workshops out of some very rad venues in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne, and met some amazingly creative people.
Running craft workshops is one of my favourite things to be a part of - being able to teach someone a new skill is so rewarding, and watching them become confident in approaching the task brings me so much joy!
I designed the advertising campaigns surrounding the workshops, created the samples for each class, co-ran the classes, and documented the events in videos. It was a very jam packed month, but I had the time of my life.
After noticing a gap in the birthday parties market where something bright, fun and creative should be, I created Make Parties, a crafty new way to celebrate!
With a background in running craft workshops for young and old, I have always loved the thrill that comes with teaching people new hands-on skills. Make Parties are mobile and the craft space can be set up wherever the celebration may be happening. We come with tables, stools, and all the craft supplies needed to make the party a bright, sparkly, and most importantly, creative one.
Although the parties are directed at kids, they are absolutely not exclusive! The only prerequisite for attending a Make Party is to be ready to make, and eager to craft.
I've been spending a lot of my time over the past year at the BLANK Goods studio just helping out where I can, and I have absolutely loved being there! I've been helping out at market stalls, wrapping orders, packaging products, and just generally assisting in all things creative where I can.
My work with the DIY event stationery brand Alex Mae is certainly multifaceted. I have designed the product range, created the print and web collateral, handmade and handdrawn the samples, promoted the brand with workshops, trade shows & other marketing feats, styled the photo shoots and so much more.
I really believe in the brand and love being a part of it. Every day with Alex Mae is different and always fabulous!
